New Ford Focus: Luxuriuos With Cheap Fuel

New Ford Focus diesel plant, can you imagine?

Davy Tuilan, Marketing Director of PT. Ford Motor Indonesia (FMI), toss a question to the journalists before a press conference in Pisa Cafe, Menteng, Jakarta.

"Diesel engines are renowned for their strong torque. Well this is what we planted in this New Ford Focus. So the machine ordinary planted in trucks and buses are now we attach in the sedan," said Davy to journalists on Wednesday, 11 February 2009.

Said Davy, FMI would want to be trend setter. Davy did not refuse if this is inspired from the trends of Europe people's cars are now diesel planted.

However, the main goal remains to offer luxury car based on cheap fuel.

"While European trends are now more interesting in cars that use diesel engines, in Japan, use hybrid cars. The trends car must find alternative energy, energy that can be maintained," said Davy.

Indeed, this cars use diesel fuel. But Davy does not recommend using regular diesel fuel.

"We further recommend the New Ford Focus uses Pertadex. If ordinary solar, care will be more heavily later," he said.

Davy added that his side are confident that this New Ford Focus will success. 'Enemy' that must be faced only one, that is against the public perception that the diesel engine is not possible planted on the sedan.

One of Davy confidence adder is the high number of sales in 2008. Ford is able to sell 77,754 units, 23 percent higher than 2007.

"We try to offer, we will see if this product can be deemed suitable and interesting for the lifestyle of our society or not."

New Ford Focus principle is an alternative comfortable luxury car, but based on cheap fuel. A case which seems difficult to obtain Indonesia's consumer products are similar to a Ford Focus.

Unfortunately, the Ford would not give the New Ford Focus selling price in this market.

The new Focus RS is wicked looking. Price is a little high but it is awesome and I would love to have one. Unfortunately, Ford doesn't think Americans would buy it. Who knows, but I were them, I would give it a shot. The US focus is a pathetic little car. I really could care less if it is a quality car, I just cant get past the ugly looks and chrome trim everywhere. Absolutely disgusting.
